The Coca-Cola Company Announces New 100% Recycled rPET Bottle

Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages is proud to be part of The Coca-Cola Company’s announcement of the launch of a new 13.2oz bottle, made from 100% recycled PET*, for Coca-Cola, Coke Zero Sugar, Diet Coke and Coca-Cola Flavors. Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages will launch the 13.2 oz bottle this month in our region and transition to 100% rPET this summer.

This is the first of several sustainability announcements we will be introducing this year regarding our packaging:

In Q1 2021, we will launch 20oz bottles made from 100% rPET* across our territory.

In March, we will announce our commitment to reach an average 50 percent rPET* across our entire portfolio of beverages. We will be the first bottler in the U.S. to achieve this goal, which enables us to reach one of our World Without Waste goals early.

DASANI and smartwater will follow suit, with 20oz bottles made from 100% rPET* in March and July, respectively.
